About Curism

What Is Curism?
Curism is a wellness library and directory. Its aim is to provide a central place for people to find individuals or businesses that facilitate mental, emotional and physical “cures” via their insights and services.
They can be authors, podcasters, educators, psychologists, neuroscientists, therapists, energy healers, personal trainers, life coaches or yoga teachers.
All that matters is that they contribute in some way to the well-being of others.
Who Is Behind Curism?
My name is Rachel and I am the creator of Curism.
Curism came about as a kind of digital scrapbook.
When I was in therapy, it was vital that I stayed engaged with the process in between therapy sessions.
So, I would watch TED talks, interviews and documentaries, read articles and book extracts, listen to podcasts and follow instructionals.
There were far too many to bookmark and I needed a home for all of the information I was finding, so I began to organise it all.
And the library was born!

About the Directory

What Is The Aim Of The Directory?
The aim of the Directory is to promote discount-friendly wellness services both in-person and online.
Who Is It For?
The Directory is there to help individuals identify ways to improve their lives – be that with their emotional health, physical health or financial health – without breaking the bank.
Why Discount-Friendly?
Because it’s needed.
I was able to get my life back on track (while on minimum wage, at times) thanks to healing practitioners who were happy to reduce their fees for people who were struggling financially.
Many people (and not just those on minimum wage) are in need of help and want to improve their lives, but think that it will be too expensive to do this. Equally they have no idea how to find the people they can afford to work with.
There are people out there who can help and who offer low cost services, sliding scale fee structures or discretionary concessions.
I wanted to create a place where they could all be found.
